Unemployment rate

– The percentage of the eligible workforce that is not working.

Unrealized gain/loss

– The gain or loss incurred on an open position is unrealized while it remains open. Actual gain/loss occurs at the time the position is closed.

Uptick

– A new price quote that is higher than the quote before it.
